What a great sports weekend for fans in the Boston area ...
most local high school teams (football, cross country, etc,) have begun their
seasons; most, if not all, colleges have already played at least two football games (and I believe Ivy League begins play this week), our Beacons will host Rhode Island College Saturday at 1 p.m. in soccer action and the men's and women's cross country teams will compete the following day at 11 a.m.  in Brookline,
And I didn't even mention the pro teams (BoSox, Pats and Revolution) competing this weekend.
Doesn't get much better than that ...
